In 2007 the public press reported well over 100 Million cases of at-risk or stolen credit card numbers and 20 Million cases of stolen or at-risk information sufficient to commit full blown identity theft. And remember that these are just the reported cases!

Most card numbers were stored with names, addresses, expiration dates and security codes - All the information needed to pass most automated fraud checks.
